Empathy
Empathy is at the heart of the human experience allowing us to relate to each other and to live full and authentic lives. Kids who learn empathy will experience success in the classroom and the rest of their lives.
In this lesson, students will have the opportunity to reflect on their visible and invisible characteristics and how they show up for the world. Students will analyze how we choose to share our invisible qualities with others – including our values, beliefs, hopes and dreams. Students will analyze how, although the parts of ourselves under the iceberg are mostly invisible, they reflect up and become visible through our behavior – by what we say and do.
