At Positively Moxie, we empower and serve teachers, counselors, therapists, and parents who want to teach young people skills they need to better coach their brains for greater well-being and resilience.
We understand our students and youth need as many “tools” in their toolbox as we can give them. The science of positive psychology, counseling techniques, self-regulation, cognitive behavioral therapy, sensory processing, executive functioning, and brain science influences us.
Times can be difficult. At Positively Moxie, we know that our young people struggle.
We are in the trenches with our experience – Molly, a former classroom teacher, a school counselor, and Jill, a school-based occupational therapist. We see how our young people need as many tools as possible in their toolboxes.
Whether working one-on-one, in a small group, or providing whole-class lessons and instructions, our resources help those working directly with youth develop resilience and well-being skills.
Let’s talk about CONFIDENCE.
Confidence is our capacity to trust in ourselves. It serves as the foundation for succeeding in the world. We can cultivate self-confidence through effort and experience. It is a skill that strengthens over time with practice and experiences that offer the right level of challenge to foster growth.
Next, let’s discuss CALM.
Calm is our capacity to reach a state of relaxation and alertness, enabling us to truly feel. Achieving calm requires understanding our stressors and managing our emotional fluctuations, recognizing that these are a natural aspect of life. This process helps to calm our bodies and quiet our minds.
Last, let’s explore CONNECTION.
Connection brings a spectrum of emotions, from joy and sadness to happiness, anger, fear, and jealousy. Genuine connections necessitate staying true to our values while improving communication. Forming connections with those we love and those who love us is essential for human survival. Connections are established when communication is received and understood, offering comfort during tough times and providing support. T
